An automation plugin for Winamp written by Shane Hird.
The ActiveWinamp plugin exposes much of Winamp’s functionality through COM / ActiveX. You may use this to write VB or .NET or any other applications which interact with Winamp. You can automate Winamp internally or externally. Write scripts that can be executed on startup, from the playlist, “Send To” menu or hot keys, or from external scripts and programs.
The CVS version has been significantly updated since version 1.0. If you are using ActiveWinamp seriously, it is suggested you obtain the CVS version instead (not the CVS-snapshot or version 1.0, but the version in the CVS). I also encourage you to look at the source and if possible submit fixes to any existing problems or missing features.
This plugin is currently out of development. It is not Winamp 5.34+ compatible in that it will cause the taskbar to show ??? for unicode media files. If someone is willing to take the latest CVS source, apply the patch outlined here, as well as the 5.55+ crash-on-close patch smk-ka posted on the bugtracker, and compile a working version please post it in the Scripting thread as it will defacto be the new stable version.
